David Middelbeck is Co-Founder and Board Member of the Council of the German American Conference at Harvard e.V.
As a team member of the GAC’15 organizing committee, David helped to launch the GAC Innovation Lounge, bringing together startups from Germany and the US. His passion for transatlantic relations now fuels his motivation to grow the Council to a unique platform for generating and sharing ideas that can blossom on both sides of the Atlantic.

During his time in Cambridge, David studied Computer Science at Harvard University’s Graduate School of Arts and Science, with cross-registrations at Harvard Business School and MIT. Being convinced that the major challenges of our generation reside at the interface of science, technology, and society, he concurrently pursues a second B.A. in Philosophy & Political Science at the University of Münster.
Beside his studies, David works as a Data Scientist on several projects, served as a board member of a student consultancy, and authored research papers on social media. Amongst others, David worked at Oliver Wyman, explored Berlin’s startup scene, and supported the PwC Forensic Services department, where he applied Data Analytics to investigate corporate crime for several clients.
He enjoys traveling, playing the piano, and exploring jazz clubs around the world.
