Simon Gincberg was born in Cologne and is responsible for the communication activities of the Council of the German American Conference at Harvard.

After completing his International Marketing studies in Hong Kong and in the Netherlands as B.Comm. with a minor in E-Marketing & Communications, he finished his academic path as M.Sc. in Business and Management - with a particular focus on Entrepreneurship - in England. In his research thesis he analyzed digital applications and their potential to integrate ethical preferences into buying decisions. Thereby he extracted essential findings for his marketing career, such as the necessity of protecting our core values in all communication efforts, especially in nowadays’ increasingly digital world.

Amongst others, he worked at L’Oréal, Vodafone, Sony Music and Researchgate.
His keen interest in intercultural communication and marketing, he now pursues as Head of Business Development at the aspiring digital communication agency Recordbay, which - in three years - he helped growing from 5 to +40 employees. During this time, Simon enabled and developed communication campaigns and projects for players like Sony, Schwarzkopf, Deutsche Telekom and Lufthansa and was responsible for receiving the agency’s official media partnership with the German American Conference at Harvard in 2015.

At Harvard, he organized and conducted interviews with all high profile speakers and panelists, as well as the organizing team and various guests of the event. The resulting aftermovie showcases the impressive development of the now biggest student-led conference of its kind in the United States.

Next to continuous projects in marketing, consulting and communications, he engages as an external auditor for diploma theses and as a guest speaker at the Fontys International Business School in the Netherlands.

He loves Scandinavia, photography, experimental cooking and scuba diving.
